Before Christ there is only one word that described me: dead. Ephesians 2:1 says that I was dead in my trespasses and sin. Fortunately, the chapter doesn’t stop there. Only a couple of verses later do I see the remedy; it is God who saved me! He is the one who chose me, I did not choose him. Dead men can’t choose. I am very grateful that he called me unconditionally and it is for this reason that I have given my life to this ministry. My life verse is 1 Corinthians 1:26-29 and this is what it says:
“26 Brothers and sisters, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. 27 But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. 28 God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are, 29 so that no one may boast before him.”
I am that foolish, weak, and lowly thing that God chooses to use. I want people to look at my life and realize that only God could do what He’s done in and through me. That way only He gets the glory that He rightly deserves.
For His Fame,
